Learning Next.js
I’ve started diving into modern web development with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
The goal is to build faster, more scalable apps while keeping my code clean and maintainable.
Right now I’m working on a project called dev-events-nextjs, where I’m experimenting with:
♥ Next.js routing and app structure, React components and state management
♥ TypeScript for safer, more predictable code
♥ Post hog, codeRabbit, AI implementation, MongooseDB & Ai
You can check out the project here:

Desktop Calendar App
This project is a desktop calendar application designed to make organizing daily tasks simple, flexible, and visually intuitive. It focuses on ease of use while offering powerful note management features.
Key Features:
-Clean and intuitive calendar navigation
-Persistent state, so your notes and selected days are always saved
-Full control to add, edit, or delete entries for any day
-Mark tasks as completed with a quick double-click (strike-through effect)
-Visual indicators (dots) to highlight days with active notes
-Custom styling with both light and dark mode support

My recent work
About Me / Development Focus / Projects
I hold multiple IT Specialist certifications in Software Development, JavaScript, Python, and HTML & CSS, providing me with a strong foundation in programming concepts, object-oriented design, and web development.
(You can view my certifications by scrolling to the bottom of this page or via the Credly link in the footer.)
I am currently working toward a full-stack web development role. While I already have a solid base, I am actively strengthening it through focused practice and project-based learning.
Over the past eight months, I have concentrated primarily on frontend development, with a strong focus on WordPress-based projects. During this time, I have worked extensively with JavaScript, React, PHP, HTML, and CSS, building custom themes, layouts, and functionality, and translating real client requirements into working solutions.
At the moment, I am following the Full Stack Open program in its entirety to further deepen my understanding of modern full-stack development, including React, application state, and scalable development practices.
From teaching to tech
2013 – until now
I started my career in education and coaching, helping students with English skills, coaching students that suffer from intense anxiety.
I taught/teach English, taught students how to plan, prepare them for exams (like Cambridge or final exams) and helped them deal with performance anxiety using cognitive behavioural techniques.
Alas, I realized, that teaching wasn’t for me. I do still love to tutor individual students one on one, but big crowds tend to overwhelm me.
IT & Coding however, has always been something I had a big interest in.
Two years ago I decided to be brave enough to switch careers and dive into the world of I.T.
My background taught me patience, empathy and clear communicative skills I can bring into collaboration and dev project.

Front-end Web development
2023 to 2025 | GetCertified
From 2023 to 2025 I followed a Frontend Web Development track where I built a solid base in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, practical knowledge in UX-Design and Python.
I learned how to structure pages properly, make layouts responsive, and write clean, readable code. That trajectory gave me the fundamentals I now use in every project.
If you scroll down, I included my certifications & you can also view my LinkedIn to see more detailed information.

Diving deeper into JavaScript
2023 to 2025 | GetCertified, w3Schools & FreeCodeCamp
To deepen my understanding, I completed the JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures certification at freeCodeCamp.
That meant writing a lot of pure JavaScript, solving algorithmic challenges, and building small apps.
It really sharpened my problem-solving skills and gave me confidence to tackle more advanced projects.
Scroll down for my certifications.

Software development mindset
2023 to 2025 | GetCertified, w3Schools & FreeCodeCamp
I’ve also studied broader software development concepts like object-oriented programmig, databases, and the full development lifecycle.
Working with C#, SQL and design patterns helped me think more structurally about code: how to keep things maintainable, how to model data, and how to build applications that can grow over time.

WordPress, PHP & custom themes (Udemy)
mid 2025
Since mid-2025 I’ve been diving deep into WordPress development with PHP and JavaScript.
I learned how to build custom themes, work with the REST API, and extend WordPress without relying on heavy plugins.
This is where my love for front-end, design and “real world” projects really came together.
