From teaching to tech

2013 – until now

I started my career in education and coaching, helping students with English skills, coaching students that suffer from intense anxiety.

I taught/teach English, taught students how to plan, prepare them for exams (like Cambridge or final exams) and helped them deal with performance anxiety using cognitive behavioural techniques.

Alas, I realized, that teaching wasn’t for me. I do still love to tutor individual students one on one, but big crowds tend to overwhelm me.

IT & Coding however, has always been something I had a big interest in.

Two years ago I decided to be brave enough to switch careers and dive into the world of I.T.

My background taught me patience, empathy and clear communicative skills I can bring into collaboration and dev project.

Front-end Web development

2023 to 2025 | GetCertified

From 2023 to 2025 I followed a Frontend Web Development track where I built a solid base in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, practical knowledge in UX-Design and Python.

I learned how to structure pages properly, make layouts responsive, and write clean, readable code. That trajectory gave me the fundamentals I now use in every project.

Diving deeper into JavaScript

2023 to 2025 | GetCertified, w3Schools & FreeCodeCamp

To deepen my understanding, I completed the JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures certification at freeCodeCamp.

That meant writing a lot of pure JavaScript, solving algorithmic challenges, and building small apps.

It really sharpened my problem-solving skills and gave me confidence to tackle more advanced projects.

Software development mindset

2023 to 2025 | GetCertified, w3Schools & FreeCodeCamp

I’ve also studied broader software development concepts like object-oriented programmig, databases, and the full development lifecycle.

Working with C#, SQL and design patterns helped me think more structurally about code: how to keep things maintainable, how to model data, and how to build applications that can grow over time.

mid 2025

Since mid-2025 I’ve been diving deep into WordPress development with PHP and JavaScript.

This is where my love for front-end, design and “real world” projects really came together.
